The City of Cortez has 6 dedicated lighted pickleball courts. They are located at:

They are all currently designated as “open play” except for days when an event is scheduled by the Cortez Pickleball Club. Scheduled events (if any) are shown in the ‘Upcoming Events’ list or by selecting ‘Events’ from the menu and clicking on ‘Event Calendar’ in the drop-down.

The Cortez Recreation Center is a beautiful 46,000 square foot facility situated in the 50-acre Parque De Vida just two blocks from Main Street (HWY 160). Beautiful parks surround the Center for outdoor opportunities including tennis, sand volleyball, pickleball, disc golf, and several picnic shelters for drop-in use or by reservation for parties, family gatherings, and/or special events.

Conquistador Golf Club in Cortez, Colorado is a hidden gem of the Four Corners area and is located in the southwest corner of the state. Conquistador is an 18 hole par 72 championship golf course with rolling hills, large trees, water that comes into play on 8 holes, small undulating greens and panoramic views of the La Plata Mountains, Mesa Verde and the Ute Mountain.

Canyons of the Ancients Visitor Center and Museum is Southwest Colorado’s premier archaeological museum, housing permanent and temporary exhibits that focus on Ancestral Puebloan, Native American, and historic cultures in the Four Corners region.  The BLM-operated Visitor Center provides information and orientation for visitors to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument.  Facilities are wheelchair accessible. For over 700 years, the Ancestral Pueblo people built thriving communities on the mesas and in the cliffs of Mesa Verde. Today, the park protects the rich cultural heritage of 27 Pueblos and Tribes and offers visitors a spectacular window into the past.

Hovenweep preserves six prehistoric sites built between A.D. 1200 and 1300 which may have served as ceremonial centers. Explore a variety of structures, including multistory towers perched on canyon rims and balanced on boulders. The construction and attention to detail will leave you marveling at the skill and motivation of the builders.
